Great to see you at our website! Skip the first interview round and meet us on our unique MImasterclass. Meet our analists and attend a case interview training. At this page you can subscribe for the MImasterclass that we planned on June 1^st.

Program
We start at 14.00h with a short introduction. The next hour we invite our MI analists to show you their world at MIcompany. And to answer your questions.

Then we practice a case interview, to help you prepare for any interview process involving case studies. You can ask our consultants what is the best way to approach most of the issues.

We want you to be successful in our interview process. Therefore, when you pass the CV selection and participate this MImasterclass, you skip the first interview round at MIcompany.

Who?
Join the MImasterclass when you are a Master student with excellent analytical skills, and plan to start working in 2012.

MIcompany visits Asset|Econometrics in Tilburg

Last Tuesday (May 1^st) MIcompany’s Claartje Onderwaater and Sven van Veen drove to Tilburg to organize a late evening lecture for the student members of Asset|Econometrics. Since the students were fairly tired after a day full of activities (including a BBQ) and since it was the day after Queen’s Day the number of students that attended the lecture (about 40) was high. MIcompany’s habit is to do things a little different and we managed to find a way to keep a high energy level. After a short introduction of ourselves and MIcompany we gave the starting sign of the MIcompany pub quiz. The students divided themselves in teams and answered questions in four rounds, the MIcompany round, the estimation question, the analytical round and the music round. After these four competitive rounds we made up the balance and found out that the winning team was “Schildersbedrijf, wij zijn die ladder zat” (no use in translating this name!). After the quiz we had some drinks and got the opportunity to meet some students in person. We found out that the enthusiasm about our profession of consumer analytics and MIcompany is growing in Tilburg. Many thanks for organizing this event and we look forward to meet again shortly!

Sterk hefboom effect van Customer Equity

In het meeste recente nummer van de Journal of Marketing (maart 2012) wordt een sterke link tussen Customer Equity en aandeelhouderswaarde aangetoond. Het onderzoek is gebaseerd op data van ruim 2000 beursgenoteerde bedrijven in de Verenigde Staten over een periode van 10 jaar. De onderzoekers vonden een leverage effect van 1.55. Dat wil zeggen dat een stijging van de Customer Equity (de som van alle individuele Customer Lifetime Values) leidt tot een stijging van de aandeelhouderswaarde van 15,5%.

Journal of Marketing is veruit het meest invloedrijke Marketing Journal (vijf jaars impactfactor van 7.092) en staat in de top drie van meest invloedrijke business journals in de wereld. De onderzoekers zijn ruim tien jaar met het onderzoek bezig geweest. Eén van de onderzoekers, Thorsten Wiesel, is overigens ook docent in MIacademy. Geïnteresseerd in dit artikel? MIcompany’s first football appearance turns out to be a success

Last Thursday MIcompany made its first appearance on the football pitch. The opponent was Maccabi Amsterdam, a well-established indoor football team with excellent technical skills and outstanding running lines. MIcompany took the lead several times in the first half, but had to concede just as many equalizers which resulted in a 4-4 half time score.

In the second half MIcompany took a 6-4 lead, but after quite some pannas and goals MIcompany was 2 goals behind (7-9) and the supporter’s fear of a defeat was larger than the hope for victory . But MIcompany recovered and scored two late goals to reach a well-deserved 9-9 draw.

Tuesday 28th of March, MIcompany was present at the LED (Landelijke Econometristen Dag) for the very first time. It was an exciting day with lots of impressions; from real brain teasers to mysterious magicians.
